International model Arya Bendkhale met Italian entrepreneur Federico Diego Perego at an equestrian event in Verona during Milan Fashion Week in 2021. What began as an unexpected encounter blossomed into a whirlwind romance spanning continents and cultures.
Their journey culminated in two wedding ceremonies in Italy, celebrating their shared love and the richness of their Italian and Indian heritage in a celebration that beautifully brought two worlds together.
Honouring both cultures, Arya & Federico celebrated their union with two ceremonies. Their intimate Christian wedding took place at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como, a setting Arya had always dreamed of.
Attended by 50 guests, the ceremony saw Arya in a handmade Valentini dress from Spose di Milano, while Federico wore Tom Ford.
For the reception, Arya changed into a Celia Kritharioti gown, paying tribute to the designer who had played a defining role in her early haute couture journey.
The couple’s Indian ceremony took place at Federico’s horse farm in Brianza, where Arya wore a classic red Sabyasachi lehenga. For the reception, she changed into Tarun Tahiliani, while Federico wore Kunal Rawal and Dolce & Gabbana.
Despite years of modelling for bridal campaigns, the reality of her own wedding only sank in as Arya walked down the aisle after sharing her first look with her parents. From their chance meeting in Verona to their wedding celebrations in Italy, their journey came full circle in a multicultural Indo-Italian wedding.
