The celebrations of Julia Allison & Noah Feldman unfolded across two very different settings, each reflecting a different side of their story. Back in Cambridge, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at Harvard’s Widener Library, followed by wedding celebrations in Bali, called “The Bohemian Embassy.”

The celebrations then moved to Bali for five days, where 140 of their closest friends and family gathered for a second wedding. The vision was wonderfully unconventional — an interplay of intellectual academia and bohemian spirit, black-tie sophistication and tropical wilderness, all brought together with a mystical, rainbow-hued sensibility.

Julia’s wedding wardrobe blended designer glamour with personal meaning. She wore Jimmy Choo for her Cambridge ceremony before changing into her mother’s 1978 wedding dress for an intimate dinner.

In Bali, the celebrations took a bolder turn, with a Hian Tien couture gown for Julia and a pink Ralph Lauren suit for Noah, complete with an unexpected python accessory.

The first night – Welcome to the Jungle grounded the Embassy in earth, the Opening Ceremony was where we found fire.

The second chapter of the Bohemian Embassy was imagined around the element of fire – ignition, energy, transformation. An evening of ritual, movement, music and unabashed self-expression, where everyone was invited to step further into the world Julia & Noah had created.

For Julia, we wanted the wardrobe to feel like an extension of the Embassy itself.

Of the seven looks we sourced from across the world for the couple throughout the week, it was important that India had a place in the story.

For the Opening Ceremony, we had always wanted an Indian designer — a quiet homage to a culture whose rituals, craftsmanship and visual language felt so deeply connected to the world Julia & Noah were creating in Bali.

We found it in an archival Anamika Khanna, specially recreated for Julia. There was something beautifully circular about bringing a piece of Indian fashion history into this entirely new world. For Noah, we commissioned Dhruv Vaish to create a bespoke embroidered jacket, incorporating the Bohemian Embassy crest.

And then the fire took over. Music, movement, smoke, candlelight and ritual blurred the lines between ceremony and celebration. Guests dressed in their own interpretations of bohemia, the evening unfolding less like a wedding event and more like a gathering from another universe.
